A 40 year old native of Philadelphia and the mother of 2; the owner Mattie
Gamble (known as Sister Mattie) is a woman who fears the Lord greatly.  After having the
desire of wanting to spend more time with her children (Mandez & Mahoghany) Sister
Mattie prayed to God and then received the guidance of opening up her own daycare.
Thereafter, “Temporary Childcare” (previously known as Anytime Babysitter) was
formed.

The provider has taken extensive training at Delaware Technical Community College and
has obtained educational credits in the field of Early Childhood Education.  She has also
received dean’s list recognition and is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor
Society.

In addition to the merits listed above, Sister Mattie has received certificates of recognition
for her volunteer work with non-profit organizations such as Prison Fellowship Ministries
(provides mentoring and spiritual guidance to those who are incarcerated) and the
Business Industry Education Alliance (Choices) program.  In an effort to continue
community outreach, she provides no cost DSTP (Delaware Student Testing Program)
preparation to all children enrolled in her before and after school program.

In 2008 she was recognized during an interview with the First State Community Loan Fund
in recognition of National Entrepreneur Week.  She was also a guest speaker as part of
“The Life of the Entrepreneur” panel during the entrepreneurial business conference
hosted by the Delaware Economic Development Office (DEDO).

She has taken her experience as a parent worker and has created a unique and reliable
childcare service that allows her the opportunity to establish close relationships with
children, parents, and with their extended families.

The success of her childcare service has brought forth the launching of her latest
business venture “Unique Teaching”; a consulting service to help and assist those who
have a strong desire to become successfully established in the childcare industry.

Sister Mattie encourages everyone to stay diligent, determined, and disciplined while
focusing on their goals.  She also advises everyone to seek God daily and to establish a
personal relationship with the Heavenly and Holy father.  Her desire is to remain humble
while God pours out the bountiful blessings that he has promised in exchange for her
obedience (Deuteronomy 28 1:14).
